There's nothing sexier than girl who can channel being chic, while having an edgy tomboy appeal. Tomboy Chic has been seen as one of the new Fall/Winter 2013 trends/ looks; however, it is a look that has never gone out of style, seeing as it can be worn multiple ways. One of the easiest ways to achieve this look is by using a statement piece while incorporating masculine and feminine elements. For example, pairing an over sized t shirt with a blazer, skinny jeans and wedge heels, or harem pants with a leather jacket and pumps. Ladies, if you aren't going for full on tomboy, accessories are key. Add a colorful watch, big earrings and/or a statement necklace. Here, I am wearing an over sized white t shirt, faux black leather skirt & grey knee high socks all from Forever 21, along with a pair of studded platform sneakers from plndr.com . For my accessories I am wearing a gold watch, gold cross earrings & necklace from Forever 21, along with a gold spiked snap back.
Hello lovelies! I'm coming to you with a style of the day featuring Parris from http://keepfashionweird.blogspot.com/ . This look is all about wearing vintage fashion while also channeling 1960's mod . Prints, colors, statement pieces, and boldness were the main components of this British fashion movement, and are components that still influence American fashion today. All of these things can make a wardrobe fun! They can add a touch of pizzazz , while helping you make your own personal fashion statement. While choosing your next outfit, I challenge you to think outside of the box. Try choosing a new style or piece of clothing that you haven't worn in a while or wouldn't normally wear. Yes ladies, we're all guilty of pushing clothes to the back of the closet, fellas, you've done it before too. Switching up your wardrobe can be challenging, but it can be refreshing for you and your personality, I promise :) Feel free to ask questions or comment below. Stay tuned for more style of the day posts.
With Style,
-Shannon

Hello Lovelies! Shannon here, coming to you on this COLD COLD day with an OOTD. A little hint for those of you that may not know, OOTD stands for (Outfit Of The Day) . Now, I do not know about how the weather is where you guys live, but here in Chicago, it is FREEZING, & FRIGID. Although Chicago feels like Antarctica, and I really don't feel up to making my daily transit to class, and work. I make due; I am still styling and profiling, while giving you preppy perfection realness. Hence, giving you inspiration to use the weather to your fashion advantage. Now, I know you're going to say "But, oh it's too cold to be fashionable." Yes, the fact that there are freezing temperatures is apparent, however, you can still be fashionable in the dead of winter if you are smart about your choices of attire . You don't have to wear skirts with thigh high socks/stockings or a dress with cute tights, i.e, the usual winter fashion trend, to be fashion forward. This winter 2014 is all about being true to yourself, and true to your wardrobe. BE AN INDIVIDUAL. You can have style, while being warm. Fur, leather, huge scarfs, wool coats, and riding boots are in this season. Examples of fashion forward looks while keeping warm can be, a nice leather jacket, warm beanie, long infinity scarf and a tee of your choice, that can be paired with combat boots, or wedge heels. Another example could be a faux fur, or real fur jacket, a warm fedora hat, a neutral colored blouse, and blue jeans paired with riding boots, or boots of your choice. This winter, work the weather, don't let the weather work you! As always, feel free to like and share this post, or comment below! Let me know where you guys live, and what the weather is like. Also feel free to email me or tag my social networks in pictures of your winter outfits!
Peace & Style,
Shannon :)
